Job Details: This is an opportunity to join a fast paced technology team. Developers have a unique opportunity to work on various technologies, but also play a significant role in web site/application launches, enhancements and maintenance. The intern will be working with experienced senior developers and/or technical leads, assisting in investigations, performing code tasks/reviews and providing documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Hand on coding of all presentation layer deliverables
• Work with senior developers, project management and creative team to establish coding requirements such as IA wireframes, PSDs and necessary assets
• Participate in scoping deliverables and estimating project timelines
• Able to quickly create interim project deliverable such as style guides, tech specs, code documentation/package, prototypes and proof of concepts
• Ability to take initiative to research and learn emerging technologies
• Able to work well as a team member, contribute and present with confidence
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines
Required Skills:
• Working towards or have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field
• Knowledge of web-based development languages; specifically JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, CSS, XML
• 1+ years of software development experience (professional or academic.)
• Strong experience in working with Photoshop, MS Office
• Familiarity and experience working with object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Possess an understanding of the full web application lifecycle
• Desire to work in a fast-paced technical role in a client service market
Desired Skills:
• Agency experience
• Familiar with agile development methodologies
• Experience with mobile app development
• Experience with CMS development such as Sitecore, CQ, SharePoint, Umbraco or WordPress
• Experience working with .Net framework and Visual Studio
• Experience managing hosting infrastructure (IIS or Apache)
