FRONT‐END DEVELOPER POSITION (STUDENT)
Job Purpose Summary: To assist with front‐end development of a custom social learning platform built on
WordPress.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with development team to enhance a WordPress site and custom application currently in limited beta
rollout
● Create the aesthetic design of the site and implement it in HTML / CSS
● Create UI components and image assets

Required Skills/Knowledge:
● Experience designing and building custom sites with WordPress or other CMS
● Possesses a strong design sense
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and wireframing tools
● Advanced knowledge of HTML / CSS and Chome / Firefox layout issues
● Familiarity with MySQL or other relational database
● Must be a self‐starter and be able to work both collaboratively and independently
● Familiarity working with deadlines
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
● JavaScript & jQuery
● Experience with version control (ex. Git)
● Experience designing responsive and mobile experiences a plus
● Hands‐on experience with rapid prototyping desirable
Approximate Hours Per Week
● 10‐20 hours per week expected
