Web Designer
We are a start up digital lifestyle brand looking to direct and collaborate with a web developer/designer to create our website. The site design must be aligned with our brand identity and carry out the aesthetic in a relevant and impactful manner. The site design and functionality must be in keeping with our business objective: creating a dynamic yet intuitive user experience.
Using WordPress, the designer will create a responsive, flat website utilizing the fundamentals of effective and innovative website design. The designer must direct the founders on the right WordPress themes, plug ins, functionalities, layouts and upgrades needed to create a distinctive and cohesive aesthetic that translates across all platforms: web, mobile and tablet.
The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative fashion with the two founders and provide drafts for review at the deadlines provided. The position requires flexible work hours. We are looking to launch the website in February.
The candidate must be able to provide a portfolio of work and two references.
Requirements
-In-depth experience working with WordPress
-In-depth experience creating responsive websites
-In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
-Experience working with web content management systems
-Understanding of mobile design issues and design best practices
-In-depth knowledge of cross-platform compatibility
-Understanding of usability best practices
