The Department of Film & Media Studies at Hunter College is in search
of an adjunct professor to teach MEDP 34100 – Web Patterns that meets
Thursdays from 4:10PM to 6:50PM this spring semester beginning
01/28/2015 through 05/24/2015.
The position requires someone who is comfortable teaching current web
programming and development and have earned a terminal degree – MFA
or PhD. A description of the course is copied below. Please forward

MEDP 34100 – Web Patterns, Th 4:10PM – 6:50PM, 01/28/2015 – 05/24/2015
pre-requisite: MEDP 285 Web Production 1
Advanced programming skills for website design. Dynamic content
development explored through state of the art programming languages
for the creation of interactive web sites. Students will create web
pages that utilize the most current techniques in web development.
The curriculum in this class emphasizes an integrated and creative
approach to web programming, including detailed instruction and
practice in the technical aspects. It is designed to give students a
basic introduction to the tools and techniques used by web
programmers.
In the past, this course has covered the following, however other
approaches are welcomed:
HTML – Structure (review from Web Production 1)
CSS – Design (review from Web Production 1)
JavaScript – Behavior
PHP – Logic
MySQL – Storage
