OpenTrons is a collaborative, open-source experiment execution platform for biotechnology — we make lab robots for people. We got our start at Genspace, graduated from Haxlr8r, received venture funding, and are currently working to ship the first OT.One robots to our Kickstarter backers. You can read more about OpenTrons on Wired and Medium.
Today’s lab automation is where computers were in the 60s — huge mainframe machines that require an expert technician to run. OpenTrons is making a personal lab robot that empowers individuals with an accelerated workflow. Mix.Bio is our in-browser user interface for designing, sharing, and running automated lab protocols on the OT.One. We are looking for a stellar interaction developer to join our core product team and lead the charge building out this interface.
Successful applicants will have rock solid front- and back-end Javascript skills, as well as a great eye for usability design. We are looking for a natural collaborator whose responsibilities can scale with the company.
OpenTrons is a fast paced, early stage startup that relies on independent initiative from our team and close collaboration with our community. Compensation package is very competitive and includes equity. This position is based in our Brooklyn office.
If this opportunity resonates with you, please send a cover letter to info@opentrons.com with an attached CV, and we will get back to you soon.
