[JOB] Senior UX Designer Needed for Mobile Education App (contract project)
Seeking UX Designer to Transform Innovative Language Curriculum into Interactive App
A top flight mobile developer is seeking a Senior UX Designer on a freelance basis to provide interaction design for a tablet app that brings a highly successful language curriculum into the digital age. The original curriculum is a very effective, innovative program in use at a few exclusive European private schools for decades, featuring Sesame Street-quality instructional videos to help young students immerse themselves in a new language.
The main design phase (needing half time+ commitment) is scheduled to take place in March / April with further support of development on a very part time basis needed into the fall.
Seeking the following:
- NYC-based senior UX designer
- 5+ years experience
- Experience with product and app development desired (especially in a new product/startup context)
- Experience with using user research and testing desired – design will draw from an extensive collection of classroom videos and other artifacts
- Ability to also do visual design or recommend a trusted colleague to collaborate on visual design a plus
