The Client:  Ecommerce Division of Fortune 500 Luxury and Beauty Company

The Job:

Tree House Interactive is looking for a champion of User Experience. You should be passionate about great user experiences, from functional flow and interaction details to rich visual look and feel across multiple devices. You notice all of the details, but have enough of the big picture to figure out what’s important and what’s simply not. You will apply all of your knowledge of best industry practices to all site pages, tools and experiences, while balancing the innovative design and aesthetic that is core to our luxury brands’ DNA.

Based in the Flatiron


Key Roles and Responsibilities

 Create the right documentation for the task at hand, ranging from a sketch on a notepad to an annotated wireframe that a developer can build from

 Be able to easily pivot between creative discussions and business-minded discussions about maximizing site conversion

 Work alongside the design team to ensure business rules for each project are providing the basis for every design

 Help establish and reinforce consistent interaction design patterns across platforms

 Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually

 Usability testing

 Interact with other UX staff within the wider ELC family to build a working group focused on best practices and innovation in the space




 3+ years designing experiences across multiple platforms

 Experience in mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and responsive design

 Ability to empathize with our user

 Understanding of the technology that realizes your designs

 Understanding of the International nuance required to build successful site experiences globally, i.e. non-smart phone markets.

 Stickler for detail

 Mastery of Adobe Indesign or Omnigraffle

 Experience with ecommerce and social platforms

 Experience working within the design/UX team of another luxury/prestige brand
