ESI Creative Tinkerer
Sketching in Tech and Code ESI Design is a pioneering innovation and experience design consultancy. We create integrated
experiences physical spaces, interactive activities, collaboration tools, engagement programs that help organizations build connections, activate audiences, and grow.
We are looking for a Creative Tinkerer to work as part of a large cross-disciplinary team supporting the development of innovative technical designs for public places. The Tinkerer will be based out of the ESI Lab and will be responsible for building small and large scale proof-of-concepts and mockups, researching emerging technologies and keeping our internal technical resources updated.
Responsibilities:
* Building and
running proof-of-concepts, mockups and play-testing in our LAB space and off-site
* Prototyping and testing of new technologies, applications and systems
* Coordinating with consultants and technology producers to organize demos
* Updating the internal ESI technology on-line resource
* Work with designers, engineers, and customers to create software solutions
* Provide in-house design inspiration through introduction of technology into our office environment and design process
* Maintaining and organizing the ESI LAB space
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of audio visual control systems, hardware and software
* Experience in creating digital/physical experiences
* Highly organized with the ability to efficiently use timemanage time well and work efficiently without close supervision
* Self-driven
* Careful attention to detail
* Collaborative
* A degree specializing in interactive Technologies, Audio Visual Design, Entertainment Technology, Electrical Enginee
