[JOB / TEACHING] Media Studies Faculty, Ross Institute

 

Ross School/Ross Institute is seeking Media Studies faculty. The Media Studies program at Ross comprises theory, media history and practices/ethics as well as production. Students explore the function of media and ideology in history and the world today, while gaining technical skills. Media Studies faculty will be responsible for implementing and further developing an interdisciplinary program in grades K-12, while collaborating with scholars and faculty from a variety of fields including neuroscience and engineering. S/he would be responsible for teaching both core media criticism/media history courses as well as electives focused on production.

The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and a strong background in media theory/history and will be able to demonstrate their ability to work creatively across a variety of multimedia/web tools, software and programs. BA or Masters in Media Studies or the equivalent. Skill set needed includes media theory/criticism, world cinema/cinema studies, video and sound production/editing and basic web design. Coding skills a plus.
