Position: UI UX Designer – Full Time / Part time New York, NY

The Tenlegs platform brings together members of a school community onto a trusted and privately-branded online network. This network enables individuals to connect and collaborate, regardless of geography or discipline, empowering schools to extend their presence globally.
Position Overview:
– As a UI/UX Designer at Tenlegs, you will be designing elegant solutions to complex problems
– Our software is complex but the user experience should be simple and interactive. You understand how to balance data, usability feedback, business needs and your own deep design knowledge to make decisions.
– Collaborate with Business Development, Product Managers, Developers and Engineers to come up with a solution, and take it to the finish line through research, wireframes, and prototypes.
– You notice and appreciate the details without losing sight of the big picture.
Responsibilities:
– Working closely with Product Managers, Developers and stakeholders to make strategic product decisions
– Solving customer problems, identifying user types, and creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, UI patterns, and high-fidelity designs in a collaborative process with Product Managers and Developers
– Inspiring the team beyond good usability by leveraging opportunities for delight through behavior design
– Working with Agile development teams
Qualifications:
– A current portfolio of work demonstrating UI/UX expertise
– Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, sketching, concept visualization, prototyping tools, wireframes, and information architecture
– An understanding of interaction, visual design principles, and responsive design
– Knowledge of behavior psychology and persuasive design
– Participate in design reviews with a range of cross-team stakeholders
Compensation: Depends on experience
