[JOB] Community Manager Job, Mozilla Foundation

https://www.mozillascience.org/were-hiring-2

We’re hiring for a Community Manager for Mozilla Leadership Programs to help our new class of Fellows, Study Group Leads and similar groups of community leaders across the Mozilla Foundation.

The position will work with emerging leaders in service to helping people read, write and participate on the Web by working with Mozilla Fellows, researchers, educators, tool developers, and other open practitioners to define and sustain engagement.

This role will provide day-to-day support for the Mozilla Fellows as well as serve leaders in programs such as Study Group Leads, Mozilla Club Captains and program alumni. The chief goal in all of this work is to help foster richer, more connected engagements within communities in a broad network. The role will serve as a central liaison for contributors to get involved with the goal of improving long-term engagement and lowering barriers to getting involved.

We’ll be announcing our first cohort of Fellows soon, so stay tuned! Applications are open until October 1, 2015. You can find out more about the role and apply here.

Please note: We can currently hire in the US, UK and Canada, and to be eligible, you need to have the right to work in those jurisdictions. This role is rooted in community engagement and relationship maintenance across a variety of programs (News, Science, Advocacy, Learning). This role will report to Kaitlin Thaney, Director of the Mozilla Science Lab but work closely with colleagues across programs.
