Posting: Tenure Track Position in Interactive Computing at Virginia Tech
The Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech (cs.vt.edu) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for candidates with expertise in interactive computing. Exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered. Strong candidates from any area related to interactive computing are encouraged to apply. The department is especially interested in candidates who will complement existing strengths in human-computer interaction, graphics, intelligent user interfaces, visualization, visual analytics, human interaction with big data, augmented reality, tangible interfaces, human-robot interaction, game design, creativity support, or computing in the arts and humanities. Candidates will have opportunities for collaboration in the interdisciplinary Center for Human-Computer Interaction (hci.vt.edu) which includes 30 faculty across campus, the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (icat.vt.edu) housed in the new Moss Center for the Arts, and the Discovery Analytics Center (dac.cs.vt.edu).
