technology veterans (professional internet-system developers and
evaluators), academicians (health informatics experts, urban planners,
epidemiologists) and former senior government officials. The company
is rooted in work started in 2002 in concert with the Healthy Cities
Movement and the University of California at Berkeley. Our management
team from Harvard University, Cornell University and the University of

Job/Internship Title:
Web Developer

Job/Internship Description:
Midas+ Community Health Solutions, a Xerox company, is seeking a full
time front-end Web Developer. The front-end Web Developer will work
closely with a small but diverse web development team, and will take
on a leadership role in producing an attractive, consistent, flexible
and user-focused design framework, while also performing regular web
development tasks in PHP. Our software-as-a-service requires intuitive
and compelling data interfaces that must serve very disparate
contexts, from a handful of locations and data points to many
hundreds, if not thousands. We’re looking for someone who enjoys
challenging work, collaborative problem solving, sharing their
expertise, and having some fun in the process!

While formally part of Xerox, we are a small business unit
conveniently located in downtown Berkeley near the UC campus, BART and
other transit options. Some telecommuting is possible with this
position but candidates are expected to live in the Bay Area within
commute distance of Berkeley. Excellent benefits. Salary commensurate
with experience.

Required Skills:
REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
Demonstrable proficiency in PHP, SQL, and JavaScript
Expert-level knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience with SASS/Compass or similar CSS compilers
Experience with mobile / responsive design
Experience with jQuery or similar Javascript libraries
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working in Linux/Unix command line environments

DESIRED:
Experience with Bootstrap CSS framework
Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
Experience with cross-browser testing
Familiarity with 508 compliance, accessibility
Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Zend, Symfony, etc.
Experience with Subversion (SVN) source control
Interest in community health
