[JOB] UX Lead, Spies & Assassins

Spies & Assassins, the digital specialism within kbs+ (Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners), seeks a UX Lead with 7+ years of experience. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented designer with a cross-disciplinary set of interests. You have a design background, but are a problem solver at heart. Your approach to UX is lean, pragmatic, and solutions-focused. And, you are just as comfortable planning and overseeing projects as you are with hands-on execution.

User Experience Designers at Spies/kbs+ are involved in all stages of a project’s life, from discovery and initial brainstorming to the final launch and beyond. In addition to day-to-day project leadership and execution, the UX Lead will also collaborate with the Director of User Experience to evolve the UX team’s design process, methodology, and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project discovery process and document findings
  • Collaborate with teammates, clients, and third parties to craft cogent Experience strategies, including but not limited to user personas, user journeys, interaction models
  • Lead user experience ideation, and refine those concepts into client presentations
  • Lead definition of experience requirements
  • Participate in project scoping
  • Document experience specifications
  • Create clickable prototypes and plan/lead both informal and formal validation testing

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience designing and documenting applications or large-scale digital campaigns, involving detailed UX strategy, design, and documentation
  • Shows compelling presentation skills
  • Comfortable working closely with clients
  • Generates documentation at a high level
  • Comfortable with hand-sketching
  • Leads UX threads of work and collaborates with the rest of the creative team
  • Proven ability to multi-task and cope with quick turnaround projects
  • Solid writing and visual communication skills
  • Works with Sketch and InDesign, and is familiar with InVision, OmniGraffle, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of usability heuristics and relevant HCl literature
