Rye Country Day School is pleased to announce a new Position in Upper School Computer Science beginning on August 22, 2016
The opportunities and responsibilities include:
•Teaching four classes of Upper School students–classes will be assigned based on the successful candidate’s experience, aptitude and interest.
•Advising (in the second year) and maintaining contact with parents, deans and advisors.
•Collaborating with colleagues and seeking meaningful professional development programs.
The successful candidate should have a great interest in working with pre-collegiate students in a variety of design and coding coursework; previous experience in an educational setting is valued; faculty at RCDS are club mentors and coaches; they are also available to students and colleagues throughout the day.
Collaboration across disciplines is important, and Rye Country Day School is in the process of designing at least one new Maker Space, with new opportunities in that context.
