Job/Internship Title:
Content & UX Writer
Job/Internship Description:
Your role at Lantern:
Interactive content is the heart of Lantern’s product and our
writers are a vital and valued part of the Product Team. Responsible
for producing all the media available through Lantern’s app, writers
work on UI copy, interactive tools and techniques, audio guides,
podcasts, and video scripts. Most projects involve translating
psychology research and therapy concepts into understandable,
eye-opening stories that keep our users engaged with their own
emotional well-being.
Writing at Lantern is a highly collaborative process. As a writer,
you’ll work closely with Content Strategists (who concept, test, and
manage the production of new content for our users) and User
Experience Designers (who make sure delightful interactions accompany
all Lantern media) on nearly every project. You’ll also work with our
clinical team to ensure that our content remains accurate,
evidence-based, and safe for our users.
But you must also be able to thrive on their own. Once briefed on a
project, writers are expected to take initiative–interviewing
clinical specialists, reading clinical manuals, deciphering academic
studies, finding the right angle to tell the story, and pitching ideas
for written, audio, and video media.
As one of the first members on a small (and growing) team, you’ll have
the chance to shape the editorial direction of Lantern’s core product.
