I’m writing to let you know about The Banff Centre’s summer Visual + Digital Art residency programs as I thought they might be of interest to you and your contacts.
Still Alive
Application Deadline: March 2, 2016
Program Dates: July 11 – August 19, 2016
Led by 2013 Sobey Art Award finalist Mark Clintberg, Still Alive is a residency that invites diverse responses and engagements with the genre of still life. Still Alive will be guided by past and present theories and practices of still life, but not restricted by them, and is open to artists working in all mediums beyond the traditional.

Summer Studio
Application Deadline: March 2, 2016
Program Dates: July 11 – August 19, 2016
Seek retreat from the everyday and engage in an international community of artists from all disciplines for an intense period of creativity that defines summer at The Banff Centre. Summer Studio is a self-directed program in visual arts offering the space, time, and inspiration in which to make new work. Residencies during this period are flexible, and can vary between two to six weeks.
