Amorphic Robot Works (ARW) is looking for a 3-4 interns to assist the preparation of a large-scale installation of inflatable robotic sculpture for tour.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are hands on, detail oriented, very focused and able to work independently if needed from beginning of April until end of July. ARW is located in Brooklyn (Redhook), NY.
Applicants should posses two or more of the below listed skills to apply.
Skills/Experience needed:
CAD: Solid works, Rhino or Inventor
Programming Max, Ableton PD and Arduino
Multi media performance
Mechanics / robotics
Pneumatic systems
Fabrication (preferably involving composite fabrics)
Electrical wiring & understanding of basic circuits
Sewing with Industrial machines.
Machining
Welding
Lighting
Sound
Adobe Creative Suite (video editing, ID presentation documents etc.)
Video/Film
This is an opportunity for uniquely skilled, passionate, creative people to join an interdisciplinary team.
The internship is unpaid but can lead to a paid position in the future depending on experience and skills. Lunch will be provided for all ARW interns.
