We are inviting applications for this exciting new role in our Department’s technical support team to facilitate growth and diversity in the range of creative options we offer across our degree programmes.

You will take a leading role in developing technical support arrangements for courses examining digital and interactive culture, including delivering practical skills training, offering advisory support, and assisting students with developing their creative skills using a range of media technologies.

Your professional/practice knowledge is likely to include a degree in the areas of digital arts, interactive communication or interactive design, including recent training and certification in using and supporting relevant applications. Students will expect you to be able to give advice about using mobile devices to create content, transcoding methods, audio visual data compression, how to publish audio visual content on the web, and social media analytics.

You will also be expected to provide operational support for our own LAN, which serves forty Mac workstations in our media labs and post-production suites, and be familiar with supporting a number of market-leading professional creative applications.

This is a full time and permanent post, available from 1st August or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

Interviews will be held in the Media Arts Centre at our campus in Egham on Tuesday 21st June 2016, and shortlisted applicants need to prepare a class presentation not exceeding 15 minutes duration on the following:

Demonstrate how to use software applications and/or hardware to create an interactive experience (you will need to bring any hardware and software you require)
