From: Michael Mandiberg <michael@mandiberg.com>I am looking for a new studio assistant, as my current assistant of three years will be departing this fall as planned. I am sending this to you in the hopes that you might have a student, recent ITP graduate, or someone else you might recommend or send this on to.My main goal is to find someone who can help with creative programming. Right now my wide ranging projects include archival work with old sites (HTML/CSS), WordPress theming (PHP, APIs, Bootstrap), ongoing Print Wikipedia maintenance (Java, Python, Ruby), plus new projects working with basic iOS development, a bunch of APIs, and some data visualization. While I don’t expect someone to come in knowing all of these things(!) I do expect someone to have a strong foundation, and a willingness and aptitude for learning new things.
I also have projects that require design work (Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, strong clear design aesthetic). And some that require writing/editing skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, an attention to detail, and a desire to learn new skills are key. This will be a GREAT opportunity to learn a TON in a supportive environment. ~15 hours a week. Please have folks send a letter of interest, a resume/cv, and work samples/website to Michael@Mandiberg.com
Please feel free to forward this
Thanks!
Michael
