We are seeking interns to work on a new immersive theatrical piece, 3/fifths
which will premiere in both of the theater spaces at 3LD Art & Technology Center.
The piece explores race and racism and is radically interactive. the system we are designing
is making full use of 3LD’s expansive video inventory. Operators and installers will be exposed to large scale
networking, cueing for immersive theater, projection mapping, game theory and large scale video distribution.
Time commitment would be from load in to Opening March 27 – May 6, 2017
There may be opportunities to stay on for the run of show, or in paid engineering positions.
SHOOTING / ART DEPT.
Some experience lighting for camera
Some experience shooting (D-SLR, RED, BlackMagic etc)
Some experience running ingest
Some experience running basic color correction
Some experience doing Art Dept, graphic design, Photoshop, Illustrator etc
Some experience with set dressing
VIDEO DESIGN
Gathering, downloading, and organizing stock, found and archival footage
Basic editing (Premiere)
After Effects experience would be awesome
C4D a mega plus

DESIGN / ENGINEER
Interactive designer (Unity or Unreal) to build out a few simple programs for us with (probably) an 8-bit aesthetic
ENGINEERING
Projector hang / focus
Isadora / QLAB / Touch Designer / MadMapper / BrightSign: video software experience of some kind
Interactive experience: Arduino or similar
