I am contacting you from the Public Programs Department at the American Museum of Natural History. We are currently seeking a GeoDome Facilitator, which is a paid, seasonal position at the museum starting April 9th ending May 26th, 2017.
The GeoDome is an immersive, inflatable theater we install as part of our Milstein Science Series. The GeoDome facilitator will oversee the equipment’s installation schedule, be responsible for set up and take down, and manage daily operations. S/he will coordinate with all necessary staff, including Audio/Visual, Movers, Electricians, and Visitor Services to ensure the GeoDome runs smoothly and according the schedule. S/he will also troubleshoot day of issues, and provide excellent service to AMNH visitors.
Ideal candidates are interested and/or have experience in the production and/or film industries.

The GeoDome:
The GeoDome is an inflatable, fully immersive theater about 25ʹ in diameter and 13ʹ tall.
The Public Programs Department installs the GeoDome in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life
as part of the annual Milstein Science Series. This year, footage will invite viewers to
partake in a day-in-the-life of a jellyfish.

provide excellent service to AMNH visitors.

Ideal candidates:
- Must be able to set up and break down the GeoDome, which will require
physical strength and manual dexterity
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force
- Are efficient communicators
- Have at least 6 months of experience in production
- Provide excellent customer service and exhibit professionalism
- Are problem-solvers and can work well under pressure
- Are team players who can coordinate with multiple parties
