JOB: Postdoc/tenure track opportunity at CU Boulder; MFA okay

I am an assistant professor at the University of Colorado, in the new Department of Critical Media PracticesCU offers a university-wide Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, which is a one-year research fellowship that may lead to a tenure-track appointment (it is likely but not guaranteed to do so). We are hoping to hire a postdoc/faculty member through this program, and we are enthusiastically soliciting applications.

Applicants should be focused on a teaching career, have a terminal degree (i.e., MFA is okay), not already have a tenure track position, and be actively creating meaningful media art through emergent technologies (visual, sonic, or otherwise) as well as thinking through making (i.e., critically informed work). Women and people of color are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must be a U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Here is a list of our department’s faculty members; applicants will need to choose someone to work with from this list, with senior faculty preferred. The application is due on October 16, and we encourage applicants to get in touch with us as soon as possible to work with us directly on the application. If you could send a CV right away, that would be great.

The terminal degree MUST be completed by July 1, 2018.
