ASSET SPECIALIST (4 Month Contract)

MLB Games & VR is hiring a Marketing Asset Specialist to support publishing efforts on our catalog of Console, Mobile and Virtual Reality games.  The Marketing Asset Specialist will work with the Publishing and Development Teams to craft, high quality, dynamic static and video assets for use in marketing and promotional activities. The role is a great opportunity for someone who is creative, collaborative and interested in being part of the AAA development community. This is a limited term position based in our New York City office.

Responsibilities:

  • Create screenshots, renders and gameplay videos for use in the promotion of mobile and console games
  • Work with Pre-final code to render still images, animated sequences and gifs
  • Interface with the publishing and development teams to optimize asset strategy, quality and delivery timelines
  • Interface with the development to maintain latest software builds, optimize gameplay settings and share bugs and learnings as applicable
  • Leverage a range of available software to Innovate asset presentation
  • Manage the library/tracking of assets submitted, reviewed and approved.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with tools and technologies associated with a game in development (in particular, Unity)
  • Experience with video game capture software (FRAPS, Elgato, Blackmagic, or similar)
  • Experience in Photoshop and creating 2D art assets (screenshots, ads, banners)
  • Ability to come up with fresh, exciting ideas for gameplay videos, screenshots and gifs
  • Ability to create still and video content that is beautiful,  informative, and highly entertaining
  • A passion for video games and baseball

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
  • Experience working with first party “dev kit” hardware
  • Ability to evaluate performance of content and presenting new ways to improve for the future
  • Extensive experience with After Effects and other motion graphics software is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with AAA television and game production aesthetics for sport across media
