JOB: Akeela technologist/developer

Akeela is an app that allows users to see and connect with people and places around them in augmented reality (AR). Users of Akeela can find, connect and message each other through profiles that “float” in augmented reality and are visible to other users of the app. “ We created Akeela to give people a way to meet and interact in the real world, which is how the brain finds meaning” said Beau Lotto, a leading neuroscientist and CEO of Akeela. In the future Akeela will give consumers the option of receiving content from merchants in the neighborhoods where they work and live. “Our goal is to get people to literally look up from their phones, see what’s around them and be where they are. Neuroscience tells us that these are the interactions that have the greatest value for people” adds Lotto. Every Akeela user creates a profile that not only tells others who they are, but also identifies users by what they care about most. Sports fans, music fans, political activists and foodies can find each other, whether they are at a conference, a music festival or a bar. We are currently looking for a technologist/developer to help us realize the app.
