Mouse
Part-Time, Tech Mentors
Hello techie friends of Mouse!
I hope you are well! I am writing to let you know that Mouse is currently seeking some new tech mentors to work with Design League – both in Manhattan and in the Bronx!
This is later then we usually hire tech mentors – this year we decided to try hiring people after the students have come up with their ideas and find mentors with skills matched to each project.
The Design League program is seeking talented designers, tinkerers, and makers with a combination of physical computing, fabrication, UX, mechanical engineering, programming, and creative design skills and an interest in sharing those skills with NYC young people to become Technology Mentors for our programs in Manhattan and the Bronx.
This person will join a small team of 4-7 high school design students working alongside volunteers with disabilities from Adapt Community Network to identify, design and prototype new assistive/adaptive technology projects.
This position begins in March and ends in May and is contractual. 0-4 hours/week. Mentors must be available either Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 4pm-6pm and pays $35/hour.
We have descriptions and a mini application on this form. Please share far and wide within your networks (or better yet, apply yourself if you are interested!)
