Conservation X Labs
Digital Makerspace
Conservation X Labs, is creating an open platform called the Digital Makerspace for the makers, innovators, and solvers from every industry to co-create conservation technology projects. These projects are all new approaches to conservation, dedicated to stopping the drivers of extinction, much like the DNA Barcode Scanner our lab works on that I presented on at GCBS 2017 (it’s actually hosted on the Digital Makerspace).
The community includes hundreds of engineers, synthetic biologists, hackers, entrepreneurs, makers, designers, and more. The Digital Makerspace is an open forum for everyone interested in shaping the future of our planet.
And, to incentivize new innovative ideas, they’re giving out money to new ideas to launch them to prototype and beyond.
The Con X Tech Prize is a competition for bold new technology ideas for conservation. Conservation X Labs is awarding 20 teams with $3500 each to fund great ideas in conservation. Then, in the second round, the grand prize winner will walk away with $20,000.
This is a great opportunity for members of your community to get funding for projects that are meaningful, and actively change the world!
