Part-time, Media Exhibit Staff
The Exploratorium in San Francisco is looking to expand it’s pool of part-time/on-call new media exhibit staff. The work includes maintenance on existing exhibits as well as possible support for the development of new exhibits for upcoming exhibitions.
We are looking for people with some experience in things like Processing/Java, JavaScript/Node, C++/oF, and Arduino as well as familiarity speccing, programming for, hooking up, debugging and installing new media equipment like monitors, touch-screens, projectors, media players (BrightSign), Mac-Minis, Windows PCs (XP, 7, 10).
Most importantly we want good documentation skills, a willingness to jump head first into unfamiliar territory, work within our (loose) standards, and an interest in learning as you go.
The job can be dirty, dusty or sticky at times and filled with lots of SCIENCE!
Must live in the SF Bay Area.
