My team [Ben Leduc-Mills] at Autodesk (we work on Eagle, Library.io, TinkerCad) is looking for a UX designer — the role would be mostly working on Eagle desktop and the Library.io website. It’s perfect for an ITP-type, there’s a mix of UX stuff (visual design, workflows, iconography, user research, etc.) but candidates with some coding chops are most welcome, the opportunity is there to do development on Eagle (C++/Qt) and/or Library.io (modern web stack), and interest/knowledge in electronics is obviously a huge plus. It’s a small, friendly team with a lot of flexibility given that we work in a large company.Maker-types will be excited to work at Pier 9 and have easy access to Autodesk’s world-class workshops (they’re seriously awesome, and classes are available to train you on anything we have). Please feel free to ping me off-list with any questions or forward to any talented candidates you know. The job posting isn’t up on Autodesk’s site yet, so you’d be ahead of the game. (ben.itplist@gmail.com)
