TechExplorersBK is seeking bright and motivated (2-4) individuals for its After School Program -Monday through Friday 10-18 hours a week. Successful candidates will work along side students in grades 1-8 in the areas of Lego Robotics, Animation, Game Design, and Coding to provide daily technology workshops. These positions require individuals who are academically oriented, logical, out-of-the-box thinkers and able to work with students in groups of 4-6. On-going training will be provided in STEM topics.
Job duties will include setting up class materials or kits, using slides and other materials provided to convey key STEM concepts to students, answer student questions while maintaining student interest and attention, providing valuable written and oral feedback back to students and parents. Provide feedback on courses and content to Program Manager. Reports to Program Manager.
Skills Required– (Must have):
– Love mathematics, science and technology or Programming
– Enjoy thinking outside the box
– Have rapport with children between Gr. 1 and 8.
– Be goal-oriented and self driven
– Work independently with little guidance
– 2.9 GPA or higher
– Have passion to enrich themselves while making interesting things happen
Required:
– Good academic record in Mathematics, Science, ELA
– 2 year of college minimum.
Preferred
-STEM Teaching experience
– Have participated and taken major development roles in robotics competition
– Programming in Java, Python, Robot C, Raspberry Pi, Phone app dev, Game programming

Compensation:
