| Position Summary | |
| This position will require hands on, day to day involvement with in house and globally distributed software development teams and the New York based Digital department, ensure stable throughput, teams collaboration and repeatable success. Reporting to the Director of Product Operations, the Scrum Master will contribute to establishing a Center of Excellence in building and delivering best practices of Agile software delivery. | |
| Responsibilities | |
| · Strongly serving and supporting the Product Owners and internal and external Development Teams in order to deliver value and satisfy customers
· Guiding and coaching the Product Development team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers · Assessing the appropriate use of Agile / Scrum with the team and organization and coaching the team to adopt higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization · Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment · Contributing to the development of a trusting and productive environment, where problems are identified and solved constructively as a team · Facilitating discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution · Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information for better visibility · Supporting and educating the Product Owners, especially with respect to refining (aka. grooming) and managing the product backlog · Reporting and communicating on iteration outcome and team progress on a routine recurring basis |

| Qualifications | |
| · Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred; or equivalent experience
· First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) · 4-6+ years preferably in an Engineering or Technical Environment · 3+ years of direct experience with multiple Agile teams · Experience as Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team in a medium to large organization · Ability to facilitate, possess situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and demonstrate increasing transparency for a development team · Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques (example: Burn down techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) · Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.) · Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: Kanban, Scrumban, Lean UX · Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games · Excellent communication and mentoring skills · Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team |
