Role: Design and Photography Assistant
Start Date: September 2019
Responsibilities:
-
Assist with designing and producing materials for print and web distribution.

Be primary staff photographer at events, meetings and photo shoots.

Operate A/V equipment to record events and run livestream presentations
-
Troubleshoot technical problems in the field
Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of Windows and Mac, HTML/CSS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Google Drive.

Advanced knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video production and digital photography required.
-
Advanced knowledge and experience using DSLR cameras with interchangeable lenses.
-
Experience with livestreaming platforms strongly preferred but not required.

Proven track record of problem solving while working independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to work well with students, staff and faculty from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and work style preferences.

Demonstrated interest in supporting and promoting Public Health within NYU and to external audiences.

Role: Communications Editorial Assistant
Start Date: September 2019
Responsibilities:

Be a natural storyteller, able to uncover the “hook” in any story and write entertaining, educational and aspirational content.

Write clear and engaging copy for a broad audience across multiple platforms (website, social media, blogs etc) with the goal of increasing the visibility of GPH and support its mission.

Independently conceptualize, research and draft unique written articles, features and editorials to promote the work of faculty and students, highlighting their academic and global public health accomplishments.

Research emerging public health news stories and trends.
Qualifications:
-
Exemplary writing, editing and oral communications skills.
-
Obsessive attention to detail and stellar ability to organize information.

Experience with research, proofreading, and fact-checking.
-
Work efficiently on multiple projects under deadline, though not at the expense of the quality of your work.
-
Ideal candidate has a background in journalism, communications, marketing or creative writing.
