We are looking for a passionate, part-time full stack developer to work on Air Ally (also known as Border Buddy). Air Ally is a platform for travelers who are concerned about being stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to connect with a lawyer from CLEAR in advance of travel to the United States. Travelers register certain information through the Air Ally site. Through Twilio, lawyers from CLEAR are informed if the traveler has not checked in via text message within two hours of their flight landing. This allows the attorney to advocate with CBP on their behalf.
You will report to two developers on a weekly basis. You will also occasionally report to non-developer members of Air Ally. Seeking 8-10 hours commitment/week for up to 6 months. Must be New York based. Pay is $60/hour.
Main Responsibilities:
● Bug fixes
● Building new features (.e.g., update trip itinerary)
● Update front-end dependencies
● Setup: continuous integration, continuous delivery
● Architectural re-design
Requirements:
● Experience with React/Redux
● Experience with Node and Express
● Postgres database/Any other SQL Database
● Work with Twilio API strongly preferred
● DevOps experience, ideally Pivotal Web Services or comfortable leading transition to a different
service
