JOB: Illustration Program Director, UArts Philadelphia

University of the Arts School of Design seeks a renowned, forward-thinking illustrator-educator who will continue to build on our uniqueness, amplify our voice in the national discourse in design education and is motivated to build an internationally competitive illustration program. The ideal candidate will have the foresight, desire and experience to transform our existing undergraduate Illustration program into one that prepares students in a great variety of practices to meet the design challenges of the future and further develop the shared design culture that is the School of Design at UArts.

 

Our Illustration Program is strong, vital, relevant and represents the best in contemporary illustration education. Our students are:

• Accepted into and win top awards in the Annual Society of Illustrators Student Competition and Exhibition

• Selected as winners and finalists for the prestigious Zankel and Eisner awards

• Working for top-level clients upon graduation including The New Yorker, Nickelodeon, Scholastic, Hallmark, Hasbro, Newsweek, The New York Times and many more.
