Student Opportunity: The Building Informatics and Visualization Lab (biLAB) @ NYU Tandon

The Building Informatics and Visualization Lab (biLAB) at NYU Tandon Civil Engineering is currently investigating how to improve construction worker safety using virtual reality (VR) simulation of construction work zones near roadways. Towards this research direction, biLAB is looking for students with VR development experience to assist in building immersive environment models and coding VR-specific user interactions that simulate construction activities. Prospective applicants should already have some coursework or project experience in iterating between 3D modeling and coding object behavior using Unity and its Scripting API.

Required: Experience with Unity’s C# Scripting API.
Preferred: Experience with HTC Vive API is a plus but not required.
