JOB: Freelance Motion Graphics

Webby-award winning NYU alum creative/art director team are looking for a junior motion graphics designer for a short film/social campaign about app life and looking for love on the internet. This is a magical realist narrative of short-film vertical music videos that weave together as a short — think Tierra Whack’s ‘Whack World’, but on the phone. The team is looking for a junior motion graphics designer/recent Tisch grad to develop the UI backbone for a variety of app-based short stories.

The creative team has worked on social campaigns for major entertainment/brand clients (Netflix, Looney Tunes, Nike and beyond), created tech-centric comedy pieces featured on Mashable and original shorts featured on NoBudge.

The project would be on a freelance basis starting late this summer, with a first chunk of a few small vignettes at a budget of $1250. If the collaboration feels right, there could be opportunities for further work, both in-app motion design and potentially more adventurous graphic and motion elements.

LA-based collaborators would be great but is not necessary since this work can also happen virtually.

We’re looking to bring someone onboard imminently. We can be having interviews as soon as next week, and the GFX component of the project could start as early as mid-late July or as late as August.
