student job: NYU Office of Global Programs seeks graphic and web designer

The NYU Office of Global Programs and University Life is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as a graphic and web designer. This intern will have the opportunity to create highly-visible content for multimedia outlets, learn online and print marketing and communications, design and improve images for the web, and use creativity and storytelling skills on multiple digital channels. This internship experience is meant to give a student experience in graphic design, website design, content creation and communications through emails, newsletters, publications, and other outlets.  This is a work-study position for approx 10-15 hours per week. – Graphic design skills (preferably a student studying graphic design or an avid designer); comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience in Canva and/or Ceros
– Strong computer skills – including Mac applications and MS Office suite
– Strong organizational skills and strong writing and communications skills
– A strong self-starter and team player with great interpersonal skills, creative instincts, and a willingness to learn.

Online work:

  • Create and maintain websites (including designing, organization, and new content creation)
  • Create and edit eye-catching images
  • Assist with design elements for HTML newsletters

Publications and Presentations work:

  • Assist with designing compelling presentations, signage and posters
  • Assist with production and design of publications
