Manage fabrication workshop space, including power tools, hand tools, laser cutter, sewing machine, 3D and inkjet printers, and wood shop. Ideal candidates have working knowledge and experience operating laser cutters, 3D printers and wood shop power tools such as the miter saw, band saw, and drill press. Must have experience with Adobe software (Illustrator+Photoshop) and 3D modeling software. Must be highly organized with attention to detail. Monitor students during open shop hours, assist students with projects, train students on safety, maintain and clean equipment and shop. Will also supervise undergraduate student supporting classroom needs for the department. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening shifts available 5-9:00pm.

Graduate student or PhD students only with familiarity with equipment listed above. Student supervisor is Rachel Schneider (rjs439@nyu.edu) and students will be evaluated by her weekly.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly base salary range for student employment positions are $15-$17 per hour for undergraduate students and $27.50-$28.25 per hour for graduate students. The hourly rate for graduate employees is based on the collective bargaining agreement with Local 2110.
