Its flexible curriculum allows students to customize their studies, more towards experimental music or more towards commercial work, in cooperation with our Film MFA at the Feirstein School of Cinema.

2. MFA in Media Scoring, Brooklyn College, CUNY
This 60-credit MFA program is for students interested to focus their professional career on scoring music for film, video games, and other visual media. It aims to give them both artistic and technical skills for success in today’s media music industry. All courses in this program happen at the Feirstein School of Cinema, enabling our students to collaborate with MFA student filmmakers to get credits on real projects.

3. MM in Music Composition, Brooklyn College, CUNY
This 36-credit master of music degree, which may be completed online, is designed to develop the skills and artistic voice of today’s emerging composers. 4. PhD in Music Composition, CUNY Graduate Center (Manhattan, NYC)
This selective doctoral program gives students an amazing opportunity to study in small courses with renowned faculty in Composition, Theory, Musicology, Ethnomusicology, and Sound Studies. All accepted students receive a five-year scholarship and opportunities to teach at CUNY campuses as an adjunct instructor. Select candidates also receive a five-year stipend.
