Games for Change is a nonprofit organization that empowers game creators and social innovators to drive real-world impact through games and immersive media. The annual Games for Change Awards celebrates the year’s best games and immersive experiences that transcend traditional entertainment, championing social impact, fostering learning, and pushing the boundaries of interactive media. Following an expert-led evaluation process, 3 titles will emerge as finalists in each of the 11 competitive award categories and will be highlighted at the G4C Festival in NYC (June 27-28, 2024).
We are currently accepting game and XR submissions for G4C’s ‘Best Student Project’ award category. If any of your undergraduate or graduate students recently developed projects with social impact in mind, we would be thrilled to see their projects in competition! Please direct these students to our application portal, which can be found here.
To be eligible for this category, games must have been created by students during the 2023-2024 school year. Students will be asked to verify their enrollment status during the period in which the game was developed (via uploading a student ID, transcript, etc.). There is no fee required to apply.
The deadline to submit projects is February 5th, 2024.
We look forward to seeing NYU’s submission in the near future!
We are happy to answer any of your questions about the submission process or the G4C Awards more generally speaking – feel free to reach out! Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see submissions from NYU students in the competition this year!
