Tomorrow Lab, a leading NYC based hardware technology studio is looking for a summer intern to join our small team in our electrical engineering department!
Under the supervision of the Tomorrow Lab team, interns contribute to our product development process through documentation, research, prototyping and component sourcing. Interns gain hands-on, real-world experience working with our team on both client-facing and internally-lead projects.
Current undergraduate students, current graduate students and recent graduates are all encouraged to apply. Non-US Citizens are welcome to apply and will need to lead their own US Visa application process.
Qualifications:
– A background in Computer Science, Electrical/Software Engineering, or a related technical or design-driven field.
– Comfortable working on Mac and PC computers.
– Adept at working with their hands.
– Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems.
– Experience in Eagle, Fusion, Arduino, Segger and STM32CubeIDE or equivalent.
– Comfortable writing firmware in C and C++ programming languages.
– Excellent time management skills in order to prioritize project deliverables and timelines.
– Must be a clear communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Should strive for excellence, find innovative solutions, be detail oriented and have an analytical mindset.
– Have an interest in learning cross-disciplinary skills (for example, if your expertise is electrical engineering, an interest in learning more about the industrial design process or mechanical engineering is a big plus!)
– At this time, all Engineering interns must either be willing to relocate, or already reside in the NYC area.
