Celebrated French artist Yann Toma, artist-in-residence at La Maison Française, is creating an installation for La Maison Française of NYU set to open in just about one month on Tuesday, May 14th. The installation, called Polarities, will be on display until May 30th.
Yann’s concept is that the light within a vertical neon tube stretched across the width of La Maison Française will interact/animate with the audience. Yann is working with Brooklyn Glass to fabricate the object, but they need some expertise and talent to program the interactive part.
This is a paid opportunity for an arduino wiz; they can offer a small stipend or onboard the student as a student worker.
