About this Role:
Games for Change (G4C) is looking for volunteer Arcade Docents to support gaming (computer, console, mobile, and board based) and XR installations for the 2024 Games for Change Festival.

Available for one or more of the following days: 

June 26 – Training/Load in day

June 27 and 28 – Festival/Loadout


Docents will support the Arcade Producer and Arcade Production Coordinator for the Awards Arcade which includes but is not limited to:

  • Training

  • Load in and out

  • Ensuring guests are checked-in

  • Communicating with staff for guest related issues

  • Facilitating experiences for a group of guests

  • Support and assist with guests getting set up on games and/or going in and out of headsets

  • Alerting the producer or coordinator of tech needs (charging headsets, controllers, ipads, and troubleshooting technical issues)

  • Managing project appointments via our Waitwhile booking system on tablets

  • Providing a positive experience


  • Tickets to G4C events, and the opportunity to join volunteer team meetings and stay a part of our community after the volunteer period (via community groups, newsletters, etc.)

G4C is a nonprofit that facilitates the creation and distribution of social impact games and immersive media that serve as powerful tools in humanitarian and educational efforts. G4C brings together organizations and individuals to grow the field, incubate new projects, and provide an open platform for the exchange of ideas and resources. G4C specializes in bringing together funders, content specialists, gaming experts, and creative teams to create successful and sustainable projects.
