Executive Director of DIVAS for Social Justice, Clarisa James says they are interested in hiring students for their afterschool program ($25 per hour) and I thought it would be of interest to IMA students. I have asked them for a JD but I believe it has been posted on NYU Handshake if students want them to look it up.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice have developed an after-school program for youth to use technology for social change through technology. The STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) for Social Change Program trains youth in creating a social action projects through technology training through digital media, robotics, coding and 3D Printing. The STEAM for Social Change program encourages youth to think critically and provide solutions to problems affecting their communities through technology. The STEAM for Social Change Program is hosted at the following schools and locations:
Linden SDA School, P.S 156, P.S 132 & The Trey Whitfield School.
