STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) Specialist- The STEAM
Specialist will be responsible for implementing the organization’s social action
curriculum and having it reflect a multimedia approach with deliverables designed
by youth in the program. The STEAM Specialist must be competent in the following
areas:
● Experience in classroom management and youth development
● Strong Communication Skills and Initiative
● Competency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Google SketchUp,
Microsoft Office, Lego Mindstorm/EV3 Software
● Must be flexible and open to learning new technologies
● An understanding of 3D-Printing and robotics is a plus
● Bachelor of Arts or working towards degree
● Creative Individual
● Must be able to engage youth and have high expectations of all children
enrolled in the program
● Must have online portfolio reflecting work
● Willing to be fingerprinted and participate in national background check in
compliance with the Office of Children and Family Services
This is a 9-15 hour a week position after-school 2-6PM. This position pays $25-$30
an hour based on experience
