JOB: P/T Web Designer for Library Futures

Do you like content and libraries and are you or a junior colleague looking for a very p/t gig to update a website and coordinate a time bound project? I’m looking for someone who will help Library Futures reorganize the content on our website and the Controlled Digital Lending website.

What does this mean? Listening carefully to our ED explain what needs to be on the website, utilizing our docs to understand what needs to be on the website (we keep an extensive calendar of activities that needs to be put on the website, need our outputs to be easy to find, etc.), and researching Controlled Digital Lending to put all of the relevant papers and research on the CDL website. This work is underway already and will be a minimal lift. Our comms and ED will support this.

We’re also looking for support with our National Public Domain Day initiative, which will involve supporting communications, organizing content, and bringing together coalition partners. This work will require some level of knowledge of the space, but docs are in progress already and the project is scoped.

Expected rate is $45-$60/hr, 5-8 hours/week.  We are looking for someone highly self-motivated who is not afraid to ask questions. Contact Jennie Rose Halperin (jennie@libraryfutures.net) with expressions of interest.
