LDV Capital is hiring for a Full-Time Analyst to join our investment team in New York City.
Founded in 2012 with the same thesis it has today, LDV Capital is an early stage venture fund investing in people building businesses powered by visual technology and artificial intelligence.
After ~13 years, we’ve returned LDV I & II and are investing out of our 4th fund. With a portfolio of deep-tech startups, an expert network spanning YouTube, Instagram, Meta, Google, and top tier co-investors Sequoia, Union Square Ventures, Accel, Menlo, NEA, and more.
Some recent highlights from our portfolio:
- Synthesia raised $180M Series D @ $2.1B led by NEA and this blog post shares more details. (LDV led their Seed financing)
- Uizard acquired by Miro.
- Memorable AI acquired by Reddit.
- Portfolio examples: Gardin (multispectral cameras for agriculture), Sonus (wearable ultrasound patches), Ezra (MRI screening for cancer), and Glass Imaging (delivering DSLR image quality to smartphones)
We are a small, fast-moving team, and this role offers hands-on exposure to every aspect of venture investing – sourcing deals, conducting diligence, working with portfolio companies, and collaborating directly with our General Partner, Evan Nisselson.
There’s also room for growth – Ash was promoted from Analyst to Associate, Kat was promoted from Director of Marketing and Content to Head of Content and Marketing, and Max joined as an analyst seven months ago.
Key highlights of the role:
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities in deep tech and visual technology
- Conduct market research, due diligence, which could entail financial or other analytics modeling and testing products and services
- Work directly with LDV portfolio companies on research, analysis, and strategic projects
- Design and execute projects of your own direction that help LDV and/or our portfolio companies
- Collaborate with our General Partner and investment team
