From Mingway Lee, an IMA major at NYU Shanghai, currently on a gap year:
I’m in the early stages of developing a 3D animation project and am looking to build a small creative team to collaborate with.
Email: lm4652@nyu.edu
It’s still very early in development, and I haven’t confirmed the final visual style yet—so people with either 3D or 2D experience in Blender are welcome.
We’re looking for a range of roles, including:
- 3D Modeler – Builds characters, props, and environments in 3D
- Rigger – Sets up the skeletons and controls that allow characters or objects to move
- Texture Artist – Applies textures and materials to models for detail and realism
- Animator – Brings characters and objects to life through motion
- Lighting Artist – Sets up lighting to create mood, focus, and visual appeal
- Layout Artist – Arranges the 3D scenes and camera placements before animation begins
The most intensive work period will be from the end of May through the beginning of September.
