I’m a Brooklyn-based artist and host of ARTMATTERS: The Podcast for Artists, an interview podcast with working artists that’s been running for 2+ years with 65+ episodes. I’m expanding into video format and looking for a student intern to help with video editing and social media content creation. (If this isn’t the right contact, I’d appreciate being pointed in the right direction!)
What the intern would do:
- Edit 2-3 short video clips per week from recorded interviews for Instagram/TikTok
- Assist with social media strategy and posting
- Help with basic video recording setup during interview sessions
- Learn podcast production workflow
What they’d gain:
- Hands-on experience in podcast production and social media content creation
- Mentorship from a working artist (10+ years professional practice)
- Networking with guest artists across disciplines (recent guests include Eric Fischl, Kyle Staver, and Jameson Green)
- Portfolio pieces they can use for future work
- College credit eligibility (we’ll work within your program’s requirements)
Time commitment: 5-10 hours/week, flexible schedule
Compensation: Unpaid, but eligible for academic credit
Location: Greenpoint, Brooklyn (mix of remote and in-person work)
