This fall, The Met will offer a paid, part-time internship in Audience Engagement (Emerging Technology). This is an excellent and unique opportunity to join a team doing groundbreaking work in using emerging technology to engage audiences in one of the most prominent cultural institutions in New York City and in the country. Below, please find a description of the internship opportunity.
This internship will broadly support our emerging technology projects, especially experimenting with ways to facilitate on-site visitor interaction using technologies such as artificial intelligence. Depending on the areas of interest of the intern, this may include supporting research, generating concepts, prototyping, and visitor testing. Interns will get hands-on exposure to the unique affordances and opportunities for exploring these ideas within the context of an art museum.
